First Achieve Engineering are working with a leading engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced Assembly Fitter to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled fitter to contribute to high-quality projects within a well-established environment.

Responsibilities
  • Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Assembling, disassembling, rigging and de-rigging units.
  • Conducting pressure testing on components and completing documentation.
  • Producing dimensional and strip inspection reports.
  • Safely using air-powered and electrical tools.
  • Painting and preparing units for despatch.
  • Accurately booking jobs through the ERP system.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment in line with 5S practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve Right First Time (RFT) and On Time in Full (OTIF) delivery.
Qualifications
  • A recognised qualification in a mechanical discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment utilising fitting skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality plans.
  • Confident in using measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Time-served apprenticeship and/or experience with rotating assemblies (desirable).
