A major NHS Trust in Norwich is seeking an Apprentice Health Care Assistant for a 14-month fixed term. You'll provide essential support in a vibrant Orthopaedic Outpatient Department, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates should hold 4 GCSEs and be committed to completing a Healthcare Support Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship. The role offers NHS benefits and a hands-on learning experience in patient care.

We are very proud of our Apprentice success rates, with 92% of Apprentices successfully obtaining a substantive post within the Trust at the end of their Apprenticeship contract, and 98% of Apprentices having further plans in place following their Apprenticeship e.g. going on to further education, joining the NNUH staff bank or obtaining employment at another organisation.

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our team of nurses and nursing assistants, within our busy and vibrant Orthopaedic Outpatient Department.
You will be working alongside our consultant and nurse practitioner and nursing colleagues within Fracture clinic and plaster room; the apprentice will welcome the patients to the department, undertake routine observations and tests, whilst also working closely with patients to inform and educate them along their journey through the hospital.
As the successful candidate, you will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and keen to learn and develop.
You will be working under the direction of the registered Nurse and will work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to contribute the provision of the highest standards of patient care.
