Job description
Brighton MET College – Administrative Assistant

Part of the Chichester College Group, Brighton MET College invites applications for an Administrative Assistant to support curriculum teams and cross‑college initiatives on a flexible 22.5 hour per week schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day‑to‑day administrative support to the Business Administration Manager, Head of Learning and the Department Management team.
  • Multi‑task and manage several concurrent work streams and events, maintaining a strong customer focus in interactions with staff, students, parents and external partners.
  • Support the delivery of cross‑college initiatives and curriculum team activities, ensuring high‑quality service for staff, students and external partners.
  • Assist with evening or weekend events if required, with time off in lieu agreed in advance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Pro‑rata salary of £25,381 – £25,482 per annum (£15,434.39 – £15,495.81) with 52 weeks per year.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to multi‑task and prioritise effectively.
  • Experience in an educational or college environment is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Positive, enthusiastic attitude and commitment to a customer‑focused approach.

Working Pattern & Flexibility
