Job description

So, what’s Account Handling all about?

It’s the link between clients and the wider agency. You’ll be the go-between – taking client briefs, keeping projects on track, and making sure everything runs smoothly, on time and on budget. They create the environment where great ideas happen. It’s a great role if you want to work in a creative environment but don’t necessarily see yourself as a creative in the traditional sense.

You’ll need:

  • People skills: you’ll work with a whole mix of people – clients, creatives, designers, producers. Knowing how to build relationships and get the best out of everyone is key.
  • Organisational skills: projects can get complex fast. You’ll need to stay on top of what’s happening now and what’s happening next.
  • Communication skills: you’ll be sharing updates, managing expectations and keeping everyone in the loop.
  • Resilience: not everything goes to plan – but you keep your cool, stay positive and crack on.

What does a typical day look like?

  • Attending client meetings
  • Briefing creatives
  • Booking in resources and setting up meetings
  • Creating timelines and tracking budgets
  • Supporting senior team members
  • Doing your homework – from market research to competitive reviews
  • Sitting in on creative reviews and getting a feel for how big ideas get made
