As a Procurement Specialist on the Generation Support Service (GSS) team, you will work cross-functionally to deliver cost, quality, delivery, and reliability to reach organizational goals. You will monitor active projects, updating status and seize this unique opportunity to take an active part in shaping our OMS (Outage & Maintenance Services) and grow together with the rapidly developing organization. You will be responsible for the negotiation and issuance of global purchase orders and contracts.
You will report to the GSS Director of Project Controls. This is a remote role that can be performed from anywhere in the United States.
Lead commercial sourcing negotiations for issuance of purchase orders and contracts
Solicit quotations through RFQ/RFP and other methods, analyzing contract proposals, risk assessment, negotiating pricing, delivery, and T&Cs aligned to our standards for materials, equipment, components and services for assigned commodities
Manage the sourcing process from engagement through to PO issuance and contract signature
Conduct risk analysis of selected suppliers considering material costing trends and capacity constraints.
Facilitate contract change activities (including change requests, amendments, orders, renewals, termination notices)
Invoice Reconciler - review & approve vendor invoices utilizing Ariba Spend Management software
Track receipts and payment price of certain commodities regularly to ensure critical supplier invoices are paid on time.
Have experience with managing supplier relations, resolving issues and improving supplier performance. Negotiating resolution of scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes
Maintain accurate status, documentation and metadata for each allocated contract in the contract management system
BA in Supply Chain, Business or similar
1+ years of experience in sourcing
Proficient in use of SAP
Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment heavy fabrication and associated suppliers is desirable.
