POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to interpret, analyze, and draw insights from quantitative information to support decision-making, and the ability to manage complex projects from opportunity to implementation. E-Rate experience is a plus, but not necessary.

This role’s focus will be on growing and maintaining our E-Rate (K-12) business. Your main focus will be on responding to proposals, researching potential school district clients, educating school districts on the E-Rate process, and ensuring proactive management of our clientele and potential add-on business. This role will be instrumental in supporting our efforts to provide fiber network solutions to K-12 school districts through the E-Rate program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process Management:
  • Manage and coordinate responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP) from school districts during the E-Rate bidding season.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all E-Rate related documentation.
• Sales and Business Development Support:
  • Support the sales team on customer opportunities within the E-Rate vertical.
  • Assist with proposal writing for E-Rate eligible projects.
• Cost and Pricing Knowledge:
  • Gain a deep understanding of Vero's pricing model.
  • Develop knowledge of costs associated with building fiber networks in our target markets.
• Customer Relationship Management:
  • Manage the embedded customer base, including renewals and funding approvals every year.
  • Assist customers with the E-Rate application and compliance process.
  • Conduct yearly service reviews with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
• System Proficiency:
  • Demonstrate proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Zoho) for managing customer interactions and sales pipelines and billing/funding information.
  • Ability to create reports and manage data within the CRM and Verofy.
  • Create and utilize maps in Vero’s tool, Verofy, to visualize and present potential fiber networks for school districts.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with a business-related focus is required.
• Proficiency in creating and interpreting geographic data (e.g., KMZ files, Google Earth).
• Proficiency in the Google Workspace suite of tools with emphasis on Docs, Sheets and Slides is required.
• Experience with CRM software (Zoho ).
• Experience managing external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience working with numerical data, including the ability to interpret, analyze, and draw insights from quantitative information to support decision-making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years’ experience working in a product management or financial analysis position is .
• Understanding of E-Rate rules and regulations is a plus.
• Proven experience assisting customers through the E-Rate process is a plus.

JOB DETAILS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• This role requires occasional travel up to 10% of the time for activities such as out-of-town meetings, training, or outreach activities.

• The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday during standard business hours with occasional night or weekend availability as needed to fulfill the core requirements of the role.

• This role requires ability to perform fine motor tasks, such as typing or using a mouse, for extended period of time.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Base pay is paid at an hourly rate/annual salary rate. The range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
