Job summary
A recognized medical evaluation provider is seeking US-licensed Psychiatrists for independent contractor roles to conduct reviews and assessments for veteran disability cases. Candidates must have an M.D. or D.O. degree, be licensed to practice in the U.S., and utilize their own exam space. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for additional income while making a meaningful impact on veterans' lives.

Dane Street is currently seeking US-licensed Psychiatrists to conduct Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) reviews and assessments for Veterans Affairs (VA) disability cases. This independent contractor role requires the use of your own exam space and allows you to use your clinical expertise to support the disability claims process for U.S. veterans.
- Conduct reviews of veterans’ psychiatric medical records
- Complete DBQs based on VA guidelines, using evidence-based assessments
- Provide clear, concise, and objective documentation that aligns with federal standards
- Ensure the timely completion of all assigned cases
- Maintain compliance with VA and Dane Street quality requirements
- Participate in training sessions to stay current with federal disability criteria
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Active state medical license
- Experience in clinical practice in Internal or Family Medicine
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail
- Must be U.S.-based and legally eligible to work
- Must have your own exam space, laptop or desktop, and secure internet connection
