The Mainframe Developer role focuses on delivering critical digital financial solutions through the development and enhancement of Mainframe z / OS applications, aligning with technology-driven goals within the organization.
Main Responsibilities :
As a Mainframe Developer, you will be entrusted with analyzing and developing Mainframe z / OS applications.
Key responsibilities include :
Analyze and develop Mainframe z / OS applications using PL1 / DB2 / JCL / COBOL / CICS.
Design, develop, document, and implement new programs and subprograms, including enhancements and modifications to existing software.
Develop testing and debugging routines and oversee their execution.
Create documentation and procedures for maintenance.
Build and maintain relationships with various squads and third parties regarding software development or support issues.
Understand the positioning of a solution within the organization and build a plan to effectively gain buy-in from all participants.
Identify opportunities for further enhancements and refinements to standards and processes.
Key Requirements :
Working experience and knowledge of PL1, DB2, JCL, COBOL, CICS, MQ, and IBM utilities.
Cross-platform knowledge on API, Rest protocols, Api Connect.
Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Positive attitude towards work and deliverables.
Open mindset to work with the team in an agile setup - tribe / squad.
Nice to Have :
Experience leading small groups within projects.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
