TRAVEL RETAIL SALES MANAGER FRANCE – Fixed term contract

General mission:

Attached to the Chanel Export Department and reporting to the Area Manager, the general mission is to support the perfect execution of Brand’s strategy determined by Chanel Paris in the Travel Retail shops of a specified zone. You will be responsible of the respect of the Brand Image in the shops as well in support of sales development.

Main missions will be:

POS Follow up:

  • Regular visits of the point of sales (according to visit planning and shop visit frequency), checking the image of the brand and the respect of the Chanel merchandising and daily update of the online POS database with all relevant information to be hosted on the tool (pictures, competition, etc) and providing answers to the online requests
  • Build a relationship with the shop managers & the CHANEL BAs.
  • Check the stocks and suggest the re-orders if necessary so as to maintain the correct stock level.
  • Verify the correct implementation of Marketing Plan, launches.
  • Regular reports to Paris on customer visits as well as trips. These reports will include competitors follow up as well as general recommendations for Paris.
  • Follow-up of the Chanel SPM in the shops: shelf stripes, updating kits, visuals …qualitative follow-up of the permanent merchandising (reparation of the material has to be assured).
  • Promotion Setting up and Follow up :
  • Guarantee the safe execution of practical aspects of promotions (coordinate the recruitment of temporary promoters, check stock, check promotion material reception, communicate target sales to staff, place gift order)
  • Permanent collaboration with the Marketing Project Manager (input on promo planning, space & locations feedback, recommendations, targets set up)

In coordination and under approval of the Area Manager, you will have to make the link between BAS teams and Paris teams on following subjects. You will be the key contact between Paris Teams and BAS teams to communicate all information linked to business activity of the area.

  • Coordination and validation of Teams’ planning: control of sick leaves, holidays, absence for training, shifts of BC’s
  • Coordination of Local seminar, organization of basic and novelty trainings for the permanent CHANEL BAs in collaboration with Training Dept in Paris
  • Coordination of testers orders, BAS uniforms and dotation’s orders.

Business Impact

  • Follow up and analyze Key Business Performance Indicators (Sales, Beauty Consultants performance, Ranking, Shop Trend, etc. depending on the data availability), make recommendations and flag the risks
  • In collaboration with Area Manager/Account Manager define, monitor and achieve Sales Targets

TRAVELLING:

This position will include approximately 70% of time spent on the field (3 days on the field, 1 day at the office and 1 remote day).

Travel planning will be defined by CHANEL Paris Team and according to priorities.
