We are hiring a Technical Instructor specialized in diesel for our Special Applications activity, based in Surgères.

Role and Responsibilities:

Your missions will include:

  • Delivering engine training based on existing modules, supporting and coordinating with the technical service, including Modules A, B, C, and D.

Creating and delivering internal engine training for employees, which involves:

  • Updating and modernizing archives of the L&S Academy and proposing new modules.
  • Collaborating with Technical Assistance to develop training on twin engines.
  • Developing advanced engine training modules for CNPE operators, aligned with START2025 and Field Service results.
  • Creating tailored training modules based on customer and internal requests, following the methodologies of the Land&Sea Academy and existing engine documentation.
  • Ensuring technical content is current and aligned with QPTM standards.

Developing documentation for each internal training session, including:

  • Pre-training materials (invitations, programs).
  • Educational outlines detailing theoretical and practical sessions, sequences, and schedules.
  • Post-training materials such as certificates, session evaluations, and knowledge assessments.

Monitoring training effectiveness and ensuring quality knowledge transfer by:

  • Analyzing feedback and proposing improvements.
  • Collaborating with external training organizations in mechanical, engine, and nuclear fields.
  • Using Skill Up for tracking and organizing training sessions.
  • Serving as the reference for Diesel Academy WSPA (engine school, training modules, promotion).

Training internal trainers occasionally, including:

  • Providing pedagogy, group facilitation techniques, and continuous improvement based on trainee feedback.
  • Certifying trainer skills and maintaining training quality.

All activities will adhere to Wärtsilä’s standards for Quality, Safety, and Environment. Occasional missions in support of the Training team or internal technical requests may be required. Some travel to the Land&Sea Academy in the Netherlands is expected.

Candidate Profile:

  • Holding a Bac+2 to Bac+5 degree in engine, mechanical, or mechanical engineering.
  • Trainer certification.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a technical engine expert.
  • Knowledge of engine specifics in the industrial sector.
  • Strong safety and security culture.
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
