eu-LISA is the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA). The Agency manages large-scale IT systems to support the implementation of asylum, border management, and migration policies in the European Union (EU). It is also a leader in the digitalisation efforts of the EU's Justice and Home Affairs domain, building a new information architecture and contributing to the development of a security ecosystem. Since its inception in 2012, eu-LISA has become the digital engine of the Schengen Area. The Agency adds value to EU Member States by supporting their efforts towards justice, security, and freedom.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of network problems using network analyzers, sniffers, and other troubleshooting tools.
  • Analyze log files, traces, and dumps.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum 4 years of relevant education (master's degree or equivalent) after secondary school.
  • Experience: At least 9 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite.
    • Advanced knowledge of network encryption.
    • Network professional certification such as Cisco CCIE or equivalent.
    • In-depth knowledge of network configurations.
    • Expertise in LAN/WAN administration, firewall administration, and troubleshooting (Cisco, Stonegate preferred).
    • Proficiency in network security, VPN configuration, and troubleshooting, including DNS, VLAN, IP routing, and site-to-site VPN.
    • Knowledge of encryption protocols like SSL/TLS, IPSEC.
    • Understanding of load balancing, switches (L2/L3), redundancy, and IP addressing.
