The Sales Director for German Customers is responsible for business development and negotiation of critical framework agreements and all contracts between ACC and the German carmakers. She / he should BE able to address OEM executives of various functions (Purchasing, Research and Development, Engineering, Finance) and ACC ExCom members. The main objectives for the Sales Director for German customers are to :

  • Manage the sales Mercedes account and develop new German OEMs business opportunities
  • Prepare business offers, bid and win volumes, while meeting ACC business plan KPIs (especially profitability and volumes booking rates)
  • Lead and coordinate all ACC stakeholders during RFI / RFQ & pre-project phase and develop pro-actively new business opportunities
  • Ensure a winning strategy on Unique Selling Points (USP), pricing, margin and terms and conditions for business acquisition
  • Support Change Request activities, prices and terms renegotiation during development and serial life phases
  • Negotiate contract terms with the customer including prices, terms and conditions, side letters, and more
  • Is responsible for ensuring internal budgets, Business plans, and outlooks reflect business realities and are data-driven
  • Implement action plans to prevent overdue payments
  • Contribute to benchmarking for customer target prices and competitor pricing relative to technology and observe technological trends and competitor activities.

She / he should BE a senior manager, strongly business minded, focused on customer expectations and resolving customer issues, with leadership, effective communication, team spirit, to coordinate efficiently all ACC functions, and responsible for negotiation. Knowledge / Know how Very knowledgeable person about automotive area, very strong experience as Sales on large contracts (500M€ / yr +, multi-year contract), preferably as a Tier1 supplier. Know-how about electric vehicle battery industry and technology is a significant plus. Experience (domain, number of years) At least 20 years of experience in the automotive or battery sector. At least 10 years of experience as sales (mandatory) on large contracts. Langages English and German mandatory. French nice to have. Some extra experiences which make the difference Experience with one of the big 6 battery suppliers (CATL, LG, Samsung SDI, SK Innovation, BYD or Panasonic). Experience on battery. Why join us?
