Lucas Meyer Cosmetics is the business unit of Clariant which develops, manufactures and markets innovative ingredients for the cosmetic and personal care industry. We offer active ingredients, functional ingredients and delivery systems from various origins. With an outstanding portfolio of ingredients available worldwide through a network of distributors and professional agents in more than 50 countries in North America, Europe and Asia. We continue to provide strong technical support for our Cosmetics Ingredients customers.

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics is growing and we are looking for a Sales Manager to develop the French territory and join the sales team.

As the Sales Manager you will be in charge of the management of a portfolio of French customers including local key accounts and you will report to the Sales Director France.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the sales growth on the assigned customer portfolio.
  • Promote the LMC cosmetic ingredients portfolio (actives and functionals) and market intelligence gathering.
  • Develop and grow relationships with existing customers to achieve sales targets.
  • Initiate new opportunities.
  • Establish a strong network and develop customer intimacy.
  • Establish and implement a long-term business strategy for each key account.
  • Provide technical support.
  • Develop synergies with other entities of the group working with these major accounts.
Requirements
  • A masters degree in science (biology, chemistry) or Engineer/Pharmacist.
  • A minimum of 5–7 years in a similar position in the personal care / cosmetic industry.
  • Available to travel for up to 50% of the time.
  • Customer orientation with strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Capacity to deal in a complex environment (internally and externally) while keeping the focus on most value creating activities.
  • Ability to adapt to various cultures and to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously while being part of a team with which you interact frequently.
  • You have a strong work ethic.
  • Language skills: English fluent, French fluent.
