Your Team

Our Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) team is made up of experienced engineers from a wide range of technical and scientific disciplines. The team provides a flexible range of risk consulting services, from natural hazards, fire safety, and human and organizational risk factors to in-depth analysis of industry operations, and financial exposures, across all industry sectors and risks. We also focus on delivering bespoke training plans to help optimize risk management procedures in the long term.

We are able to call on many years of specific business risk experience – creating tailor-made risk management services to respond to unique challenges.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Regional Head of Property Allianz Risk Consulting, you will manage a portfolio of clients. You will conduct surveys to support business and customer needs, assess and summarize an account's operations, exposures, control adequacy and indicate any improvements needed. In addition, you provide loss control expertise to customers and business partners, and generally offer a high-level service to your accounts providing value-added expertise at every touchpoint.

You will travel to industrial sites occasionally, throughout France.

Responsibilities

Defined services that best respond to our clients’ and Underwriters’ needs, budgeting and preparing in detail the engineering service offer

Prepare and propose risk prevention programs covering Property risks for your portfolio of clients, ensuring their effective implementation

Visit industrial sites to analyse and report on risks, gathering relevant information and data, identifying risks and offering recommendations to reduce risk frequency and likelihood, ensuring that remediation measures are implemented

Organise your visits with an eye to keeping travel costs and the environmental impact to a minimum

Draw up and present engineering reports for the relevant Underwriting teams and for clients

Carry out technical analyses for Underwriting (for prospects and co-insurance files), manage reports from third parties by providing an assessment and summary of the risks and remediation measures

With the support of our Technical Director, provide clients with in-depth reviews regarding risk prevention programs in line with APSAD and NFPA standards

Share your technical risk management expertise within Allianz Commercial worldwide, with your Underwriting colleagues and clients, taking part in training sessions, providing suitable training materials as needed (eg. brochures, videos, …) and promoting ARC’s services externally

What You’ll Bring to the Role

We'd like to find someone with around 5 years’ experience in engineering / loss prevention surveys, whether in industry or the insurance sector.

You have fluent French, and an excellent level of English

You display technical expertise in Property exposure identification and control adequacy

Expertise and interest in Natural Catastrophe risks and Climate Change

Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills

Business acumen and able to build partnerships with our client base

The attitude of a true team-player

Able to share your knowledge effectively with other, you also enjoy learning and are open-minded

Adapt to change, and keen to remain up-to-date with data management and new technologies

• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial.
