An international organization in Strasbourg is looking for a Programme Manager who will support projects on freedom of expression and counter disinformation. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree and at least five years of relevant experience in democracy, media, or project management. Excellent English skills are required, and knowledge of French would be an asset. This is a secondment position without allowances.

Your Team
The team within which you will work, the Division for Cooperation on Freedom of Expression, supports Council of Europe member States in strengthening policies, legislation, and capacities on freedom of expression, media, and access to information, in line with the European standards. It collaborates with governments, media regulators, judiciary and law enforcement, media actors, civil society and international bodies. The division is advising on policies and legal frameworks, providing capacity building and awareness-raising in such areas as media freedom, pluralism and transparency, enhancing media literacy and countering disinformation, ensuring journalist safety, countering SLAPPs and strengthening public service media and regulatory authorities.

This vacancy is for a secondment, ruled by Article 23 of Committee of Ministers’ Resolution CM/Res(2012)2.
