Overview

People Country Manager France – Based in Paris / Hybrid. Time Type: Full time. Worker Type: Employee. Role: People Country Manager France for QBE European Operations in Paris.

We have an exciting opportunity to join QBE European Operations as a People Country Manager in Paris. This role provides tailored HR strategies to nurture professional growth and long-term employability. You will partner closely with business teams and regional experts, translating business needs into impactful talent programs and supporting workforce planning, talent management, and change leadership. Your expertise will ensure compliance with French labour law, support managers in developing their teams, and drive the success of both local and global HR initiatives, building a high-performing, engaged workforce for the future.

Your New Role
  • Development & Performance: Support managers in assessing performance, giving feedback and setting development goals.
  • Contribute to succession planning, key people engagement and development.
  • Act as a strategic partner to managers, providing guidance on talent development, team dynamics and optimal working.
  • Support with managing cyclical reward activities.
  • Coordinate with the Works Council and employee representatives to ensure compliance with French labour law, preparing for HR consultations on topics like reorganizations and working conditions alongside the PCM and employer representative.
  • Manage company working agreements, ensure awareness of and compliance with changes in labour legislation and QBE policies; follow up on legal developments relevant to HR practices together with HR1.
  • Actively participate in the design, follow-up and implementation of global HR initiatives, ensuring smooth and locally adapted execution.
  • Close collaboration with the Business partnering and Learning centres of expertise.
About you
  • Experience in Human Resources.
  • Exposure to global complex financial services business.
  • Track record of successfully understanding and interpreting customer needs in relevant People discipline.
  • Track record of successfully delivering high-quality services to internal customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to engage managers and employees in HR initiatives and development processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with operational goals.
  • Fluent in French and possess a strong working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
