A consulting engineering firm is seeking a motivated Materials Technician / Skilled Labourer in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory and field testing of various materials and will be trained if required. Full-time, seasonal, and term positions are available. Strong construction experience, ability to lift materials, and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with materials testing and inspection is considered an asset.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsabilités

• Conduct laboratory testing of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Perform field testing and sampling of materials.
• Handle other duties as required.

Overview

GEMTEC is a growing firm with offices throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Material Technician / Skilled Labourer to join our Team. We strive to have employees that are multi-faceted and versatile with a variety of skills.

GEMTEC currently has openings for Materials Technician(s) / Skilled Labourer(s) in our Fredericton office location.

The ideal candidates will have experience in general construction activities, with materials testing and inspection experience considered an asset.

Educational & Experience Requirements

• College Level Diploma is considered an asset but not required
• Civil construction experience is considered an asset
• Experience with materials testing and inspection is considered an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong multi-tasking, organization, and planning skills
• Possess ability to lift 30-50 lbs routinely as required
• GEMTEC is willing to train the successful applicant

Main Duties

• Laboratory testing of aggregates, soils, concrete and asphalt
• Field testing and sampling of aggregates, soils, concrete, and asphalt
• Other duties as required

Position
