Position Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Lyons, GA

Overview:

Vidalia Valley is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Lyons, GA. This hands-on role is responsible for performing routine and emergency maintenance to ensure our equipment operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to complete daily work orders, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and maintain organized records of all maintenance activities. Responsibilities also include monitoring part inventory, keeping tools and carts clean and stocked, and communicating equipment updates or issues as needed. Key Responsibilities:

1. Check in with Maintenance Supervisor to receive work orders for the day at the beginning of each shift
2. Once jobs are assigned, check equipment and determine repair needed
3. Once the repair is complete, ensure proper disposal of used parts
4. Once repaired, test equipment to ensure that the repair is acceptable
5. Complete maintenance work log once repairs are complete; include time completed/work performed
6. Responsible for informing the Maintenance Supervisor when parts are low or need to be ordered
7. Responsible for keeping the maintenance cart clean, stocked, and organized
8. Communicate any issues or updates on equipment or repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor
