Job Overview

UNIVERSITY OF OLIVET – HVAC Technician (onsite SME)

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (HVAC) to join our Facilities team. This full-time role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across campus while supporting general building maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and components (pumps, motors, chillers, fans, thermostats).
• Perform preventative maintenance, including filter changes, lubrication, and cleaning.
• Fabricate and install ductwork, brackets, and supports; light welding and brazing as needed.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, pool operations, and snow removal.
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and university standards.

Qualifications

• EPA 608 Universal
• 5+ years of HVAC experience
• Ability to lift 80+ lbs., work in confined spaces, and adapt to varying conditions
• Broader building maintenance experience and ability to manage work orders
