Job Description:

Under the hierarchical responsibility of the EM2 Installation Manager and deputy construction manager, the package manager is responsible for executing works associated with package EM2.1, including:

  • Installation of primary supports
  • Installation of heavy components (Vessel, Steam Generator, PZR) and finishing
  • Installation and TIG welding of primary system
  • Installation and welding of the PZR surge line
  • Preparation of primary system for functional testing

All activities must comply with safety, security, quality, and project schedule requirements, while respecting local labor regulations. The role involves coordinating interfaces with various site units (QC, methods, planning, logistics, H&S), engineering and project units at head office, AREVA site (QA, H&S), and customer supervision or safety authorities.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating team activities and supervising subcontracted tasks
  • Resolving technical issues with engineering departments and suppliers
  • Ensuring schedule feasibility and quality standards
  • Managing manpower resources and proposing rescheduling if needed
  • Requesting equipment and resources for erection operations
  • Weekly reporting to the construction manager
  • Reporting contingencies and ensuring compliance with administrative and H&S rules
  • Checking personnel timekeeping records
  • Providing feedback to improve erection operations

Profile:

Educational background as a general engineer in mechanical or electromechanical engineering, or experience as an operation manager with extensive mechanical erection experience in nuclear power plants, including heavy component handling and lifting. Knowledge of welding is required. Must be capable of managing a team of over forty people, including expatriates and local personnel, with strong organizational, communication, and didactic skills.
