For one of our clients based in Paris, we are looking to recruit a Grain Trader specialized in African markets.

Your mission:

• Develop and manage a portfolio of customers and suppliers in the grain sector
• Analyse market trends, including supply, demand and price drivers, to identify and exploit trading opportunities in the African continent
• Negotiate purchase and sale contracts, supervise the execution of transactions and ensure quality standards and deadlines are met
• Work closely with logistics, finance and inspection teams to ensure a smooth and efficient supply chain
• Identify and manage financial, logistical and compliance risks associated with the grain trade in Africa
• Regular organisation of international missions

Your profile:

• 4 to 8 years of experience in the grain trade, exposure to the African market is a big asset
• Ability to critically analyze market data to make informed trading decisions
• Exceptional skills in negotiation, maritime chartering with a history of successful closing of transactions
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships
• Sensitivity and understanding of different cultures and business practices in Africa
• Fluency in French and English
