As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our local retail store, you will execute routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart stores, equipment, or fixtures. You will operate under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, and conduct inspections, cleaning, and repairing facilities, equipment, or fixtures.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $45,760 - $83,200
• Currently offering a $2000 sign-on bonus (for select locations)
• Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, job offer level, qualifications, and other job-related factors

Essential Functions (Responsibilities)

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand/power tools
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders, support stores and associates, and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Must maintain an excellent driving record
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
