Job Title: Electrical System Engineer – Aerospace Business Class Seats
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical System Engineer to lead the design, integration, and validation of electrical systems for premium business class seating in commercial aircraft. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with aerospace standards and deliver high-performance, passenger-centric solutions.
Responsibilities
- System Design & Integration: Design and develop electrical systems for business class seats, including power distribution, lighting, seat actuation, and in-seat entertainment. Integrate electrical components with mechanical and software systems to ensure seamless functionality.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all designs meet FAA/EASA regulations and DO-160/DO-254 standards. Conduct electrical load analysis, EMI/EMC testing, and failure mode analysis.
- Documentation & Testing: Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation drawings. Develop and execute test plans for system validation and certification.
- Collaboration: Work with suppliers, OEMs, and certification authorities to align on technical requirements. Support manufacturing and installation teams with troubleshooting and technical guidance.
- Innovation & Optimization: Research emerging technologies to enhance passenger experience and system efficiency. Optimize electrical systems for weight, cost, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3 - 7 years of experience in aerospace electrical systems, preferably in cabin interiors or seating.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Familiarity with aerospace standards (RTCA DO-160, ARINC specifications).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with business class seat programs or cabin interior systems.
- Knowledge of power management systems and smart seat technologies.
- Understanding of thermal management and low-voltage DC systems.
