An established automotive repair workshop is looking for an experienced Diagnostic Technician & MOT Tester to join their team. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles, ensuring the highest quality standards are met. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £35,500 with potential earnings of £45,000-£47,000. Ongoing training and development opportunities are provided, along with a stable working pattern from Monday to Friday.

  • Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician.
  • MOT Tester licence is essential.

Diagnostic Technician & MOT Tester
Location: Warrington
Basic Salary: Up to £35,500
OTE: £45,000 - £47,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (8am-12pm)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Diagnostic Technician & MOT Tester to join a busy, well-established workshop in Warrington.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Inspecting vehicles and accurately diagnosing faults
  • Diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical issues
  • Repairing or replacing components as required
  • Fitting and servicing vehicle accessories (immobilisers, alarms, stereos, etc.)
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure repairs meet quality and safety standards
  • Completing routine maintenance tasks (oil changes, air filters, etc.)
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised workshop environment
  • MOT Tester Licence
Qualifications
  • Class 4 and 7 (essential)
  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician
  • Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent)
  • MOT Tester licence
  • Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
  • A positive attitude with a desire to progress and upskill
  • Full UK manual driving licence (subject to checks)
