Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Fliff. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer in Europe.

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing social sports gaming team, focusing on optimizing and automating CI/CD pipelines, enhancing observability, and supporting scalable cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will work on building a new Kubernetes-based environment while collaborating closely with developers and operations teams. Your work will directly improve deployment efficiency, system reliability, and overall platform performance for a dynamic, high-traffic product. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies in cloud infrastructure, containerization, and monitoring within a globally distributed team environment.

Accountabilities
  • Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployments to AWS ECS clusters.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and scaling using Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Administer and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
  • Enhance observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools such as DataDog, Loki, Grafana, and Prometheus.
  • Define and implement DevOps best practices, guiding infrastructure decisions and supporting developers.
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams, sharing knowledge and providing support on DevOps processes and automation.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and optimize system performance in parallel with existing deployments.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer with hands-on cloud infrastructure and automation expertise.
  • 2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Proficiency with observability and monitoring tools (DataDog, Loki, Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and collaboration mindset.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bonus Skills:
    • Experience with Ansible, PostgreSQL, or Kafka.
    • Prior experience in iGaming, high-traffic web applications, or social gaming platforms.
