Embark on an exciting opportunity in Paris, France at the beginning and then Nantong, China, onshore as a Commissioning Manager Topside.

Information about the job

• Job Title : Commissioning Manager Topside.
• Project : Paris, France at the beginning and then Nantong, China.
• Contract : 12 months (renewable).
• Rotation : Paris 33 days per year off with 5 flights, and China will be 51 days off per year, distributed in 6 flights.
• Salary : Please state your realistic expected monthly wage when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate.

Requirements / Qualifications / Competence

• Experience in commissioning execution of FPSO. FPSO experience is mandatory.
• Proven background in commissioning, start-up, and operations within large industrial or energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk management, and compliance with international standards (e.g., IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISPS).
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and operational costs.
• Ability to lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams while ensuring technical competency.
• Skilled in contractor and vendor management, subcontractor oversight, and logistics coordination.
• Proficiency in English.

Tasks

• Support preparation of HSE plans and procedures.
• Review contracts, risks, and test run documentation.
• Define isolation protocols and commissioning priorities.
• Ensure materials, spares, and inventories are ready before start-up.
• Coordinate crew training and mobilization with HR.
• Prepare operational manuals and periodic reports.
• Monitor and report progress, schedule, and costs.
• Coordinate across disciplines and manage documentation for handover.
• Identify risks / opportunities and capture lessons learned.
• Oversee safe and efficient production operations.
• Implement and maintain safety management and planned maintenance systems.
• Manage audits, inspections, and classification surveys.
• Control operating costs, budgets, and forecasts.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions.
