A renowned academic teaching hospital in France is seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Biochemist to support the development of clinical diagnostic services. This role is a 6-month fixed purpose position, providing maternity cover, with a commitment of 35 hours per week. Ideal candidates should possess the necessary enthusiasm and qualifications to contribute effectively to the team.
The Mater Misericordiae University Hospital is a level 4 multidisciplinary academic teaching hospital located in Dublin’s north inner city. It is the national centre for a number of specialities including but not limited to heart and lung transplant, heart surgery and inherited metabolic disorders. It is a designated cancer centre and has other regional specialities including diabetes and endocrinology, neurology and stroke care. It is the location of significant developments not least a major trauma centre for the central trauma network which is set to be accompanied by development of a new purpose-built pathology laboratory.
The Clinical Biochemistry and Diagnostic Endocrinology laboratory is accredited to international standard (ISO15189:2022) and provides a comprehensive service for the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, primary care and referring hospitals, nationally. This progressive laboratory continues to develop amidst increasing clinical activity and resides in a newly refurbished total automated laboratory. The service provides specialist biochemical and esoteric endocrinological testing.
We are seeking an enthusiastic clinical biochemist (basic grade) as part of our growing clinical biochemistry and endocrinology service, to support the consultant clinical biochemists in delivery and development of clinical diagnostic services provided within the region and nationally to meet current and future clinical need. This post is advertised as 6 month fixed purpose post (35h/week) to provide maternity cover in the first instance.
