A leading cryptocurrency company is seeking a Backend Developer to join their mission of accelerating crypto adoption. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of experience in backend development, proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go, and strong knowledge of blockchain technology and cryptographic concepts. Responsibilities include integrating systems with new blockchains, designing secure applications, and maintaining existing crypto services. This remote position has a dynamic and diverse work environment.

Qualifications

• 5 to 10 years of experience as a backend developer.
• Proficiency in Rust, C++, or Go programming languages.
• Experience with Blockchain daemons such as Bitcoind or Litecoind.

The opportunity

• Integrate our existing systems with exciting new blockchains
• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, secure applications and data protection systems
• Work on specialized hardware (HSMs) integrations
• Build highly scalable, high volume services
• Write reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Own, develop and maintain existing crypto services

Skills you should HODL

• 5 to 10 years of experience as a backend developer
• Proficiency in Rust, or C++, Go
• Experience with Blockchain daemons such as Bitcoind, Litecoind, or other crypto software
• Strong foundation in cryptographic concepts
• Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and GNU/Linux
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Hands-on experience with distributed systems and messaging platforms such as Kafka
• Familiarity with authentication, authorization, and security compliance
• Knowledge of scalable application design principles

Nice to haves

• Senior leadership experience with mentoring abilities
• Proficiency with embedded systems
• Experience implementing algorithms in constrained environments
• Hands-on knowledge of custodial cryptographic techniques
• Proven track record in leading secure crypto service development
