The Role

We seek a passionate Automation Engineer to drive impactful projects in biopharmaceutical production through automation and digitalization. You will collaborate with talented colleagues, develop innovative solutions, and support technological development in our lab automation group.

Responsibilities
  1. Design, write, and troubleshoot scripts for Hamilton, TECAN, Andrew+, and other liquid handling systems.
  2. Assess and improve laboratory workflows using automation hardware.
  3. Support the integration of instrumentation and laboratory workflows, including LIMS.
  4. Install, configure, and commission automation devices and control systems.
  5. Collaborate with scientists to enhance workflow efficiency and automation.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of automation hardware such as liquid handling robots, pipetting robots, centrifuges, incubators, and plate readers.
  • Experience with scripting in Tecan EVOware/FluentControl, Hamilton STAR, Visual Basic, Excel, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with high throughput cell culture and automation hardware applications.
  • Background in programming languages and instrumentation/control systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Engineer or Master’s degree in engineering, biology, or robotics.
  • 5-7 years of biotech or biopharmaceutical laboratory experience.
