Be a senior member of the liquidity team for HSBC Continental Europe (HBCE). The HBCE Solo entity includes France and nine EU branches, with a consolidated liquidity role regulated by the ECB and a focus on strategic changes in the sub-region.
Responsibilities
- Be a senior member of the HBCE Liquidity team responsible for setting liquidity strategy, implementing the liquidity policy, owning entity stress testing, and steering the entity’s liquidity from a first line perspective to ensure safe, efficient management
- Cover the full range of liquidity topics from regulatory reporting (local and PRA)
- Oversee local change projects, partner with the businesses, optimize liquidity and funding within limits, and ensure local regulations are met
- Collaborate closely with Markets Treasury, Recovery & Resolution Planning, wholesale and markets businesses, Regulatory Affairs, Risk, and other teams across the bank
- Promote close team collaboration to ensure a broad understanding of topics across the team
Qualifications / Requirements
- Strong understanding of liquidity risk drivers and how they interact with different business contexts
- Ability to translate complex topics into clear messages for stakeholders outside Treasury, including papers for ALCO, Risk Committee, and Board of HBCE
- Experience delivering the annual ILAAP report and Internal Liquidity Stress Testing
- Ability to interact confidently with senior stakeholders and turn technical topics into concise messages for regulators and board-level audiences
- Open and curious mindset, preferably with Treasury / Liquidity management experience; understanding of liquidity / funding of a trading book is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate risks through appropriate escalation
- Regulatory engagement experience is advantageous
