Title Account Director

Reporting to Business Director

Location Paris

Contract Full-time / 12 -month FTC

Hours of work 37.5 / week

The Client Services team (of which you’ll be a part) at 1000heads is the engine that keeps all our accounts powered. A deep understanding of – and empathy for – our clients is blended with extensive knowledge of sectors and business drivers, potent strategic and creative thinking, and exceptional organisation / project management skills, to deliver world-class client services.

You will be responsible for building client relationships, managing accounts, delivering projects (on time, on budget, to the highest standard) and powering the 1000heads France office’s new business efforts.

With your background account management nous and knowledge of the French digital / social landscape, you’ll be a fundamental member of a team delivering for some of the world’s biggest, most loved brands.

Main responsibilities
Client relationships
  • Building relationships : listen, understand, and empathise with individual client requirements and consistently exceed their expectations
  • Relationship leadership : setting the tone for relationship management and client services, and being our clients’ senior, day-to-day contact / escalation point
  • Business reviews : leading on the creation and delivery of client reviews (with senior clients)
Account management
  • Brand immersion : developing a clear understanding of your clients’ brand(s), category, customers, and cultural sphere
  • Finger on the pulse : monitoring and understanding your clients’ markets and awareness of market issues and competitive activity
  • Keep clients informed : ensure reports are on time and are kept in a central location so the rest of the team can locate if necessary
  • Account organisation : maintaining a central repository of essential client information
  • Team leadership : guiding a team to deliver effective social media activity for a range of clients and projects
  • Quality control : overseeing and owning the overall quality of the final deliverables on projects that you manage
Commercial leadership
  • Commercial management : ensuring all client servicing levels are acceptable and billing is completed on time
  • Account profitability : ensuring that scoping is accurate and sensitive to the client’s requirements and budgets
  • Account growth : taking a proactive approach to client relationship development, building growth strategies and service evolution plans to improve the client experience
Project management
  • Briefing management : assisting in creation of project briefs, briefing-in and working with members of the wider team to develop an idea, strategy, or campaign tactic
  • Project planning : develop effective project plans and project specification documents
  • Project scoping : producing accurate scope of work documents, and ensuring alignment with Business Director and the client before work proceeds
  • Project governance : ensuring that campaigns run to agreed client budgets and clients approve all expenditure before it happens
  • Integrated thinking : leading and owning insights and monitoring projects, ensuring insights are integrated with creative and strategy development
  • Creative excellence : consistently developing innovative and creative ideas and solutions for client campaigns
New business acquisition
  • New business comms : collaborating with the Business Director on new business outreach and comms management
  • Proposal development and pitching : collaborating with the Business Director and wider team to develop and deliver proposals and pitches to new brands / existing clients’ French teams
