ABOUT THE SENIOR ENGINEER IN TEST ROLE AND OUR TEAM :

The Knot Worldwide is hiring a Senior Engineer in Test to join a highly motivated team. The right engineer will enjoy fast-paced collaboration with product, design, and user experience teams in an Agile environment to ensure high quality web and mobile features for our couples and vendors.

This role will focus on applications and products in the Planning and Guest Zone, iterating on innovative features that enable couples and guests to seamlessly make a purchase or build out a registry across our family of brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Ensure that features are high-quality by building test strategies, writing and executing test plans, and communicating with the team about issues, risk, and product quality.
2. Leverage skills and experience to develop automated tests to ensure product quality.
3. Manually test new features and bug fixes before incorporating them into automated test suites.
4. Identify and execute on opportunities to improve the QA process.
5. Support multiple squads by following agile practices.

SUCCESSFUL SENIOR ENGINEERS IN TEST HAVE :

1. Expert knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
2. Hands-on experience writing automated tests for user interfaces and backend services.
3. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
4. Experience with modern UI test frameworks like Cypress or TestCafe.
5. Experience designing and developing load tests to measure application performance.
6. Experience using Node.js or similar technology.
7. Experience leading teams and projects in an Agile, TDD environment.
8. Experience developing and contributing to APIs is a plus.
9. Familiarity with React is a plus.
10. Familiarity with AWS / Kubernetes / Docker concepts and technology is a plus.
