Nido Living, a growing provider of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation in Europe, is seeking a Talent Acquisition Lead in Madrid. This role will oversee recruitment for corporate and operational teams, drive employer branding, and enhance recruitment processes. A fixed-term contract for 12 months, ideal for someone with international experience and passion for recruitment.

We are undertaking an ambitious and strategic journey to become Europe’s leading provider of Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA). With active expansion into key markets including Germany and Italy, we are building the foundations for long-term, pan-European growth.

We seek a Talent Acquisition Lead who will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class recruitment experience for Nido’s corporate and operational teams across Iberia. Based in Madrid, the role will focus on hiring junior to senior positions for our staff departments, coordinating recruitment for our assets, and organising recruitment events for our expanding Iberian portfolio. Additionally, this role will play a key part in enhancing our employer brand, driving recruitment marketing initiatives, and developing recruitment processes to support our international expansion.

You will also be responsible for equipping hiring managers across our assets with the necessary interview training to ensure a consistent, high-quality hiring experience. Ideally, they will also contribute to the onboarding experience, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end recruitment processes across corporate and operational functions, ensuring a seamless candidate journey.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to support Nido’s expansion in Germany, Italy, and beyond.
  • Utilise multiple sourcing channels, including job boards, social media, recruitment agencies, and networking events to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to provide guidance and ensure effective recruitment outcomes.
  • Oversee recruitment processes for new and existing assets, ensuring timely and effective hiring to support operations.
  • Plan, organise, and execute recruitment events to attract and engage top talent for new developments and acquisitions.
  • Develop scalable recruitment frameworks to support Nido’s growing portfolio across multiple regions.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of employer branding initiatives to strengthen Nido’s position as an employer of choice.
  • Support the enhancement of Nido’s career page and digital recruitment presence.
  • Implement recruitment marketing strategies to build a strong talent pipeline across key markets.
  • Partner with the Recruitment & Onboarding Manager and hiring managers to align recruitment efforts with business objectives.
  • Train hiring managers on interview techniques and best practices to ensure high-quality hiring decisions.
  • Support the continuous improvement and standardisation of recruitment frameworks, tools, and processes.
  • Work closely with HR, department heads, and senior leadership to align recruitment and onboarding strategies with organisational goals. Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Passionate about doing recruitment well
  • Proven international experience in talent acquisition, ideally in an, high-growth environment, minimum of 5 years.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment strategies, stakeholder management, employer branding, and talent attraction methods.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technology; familiarity with Workable ATS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; additional European languages (German or Italian) are advantageous.
