Sr. Electrical Engineer - Electrical Vehicle Chargers (Relocation to Barcelona). Position based in Barcelona (Spain). Amazon Central RME is seeking Senior Electrical Engineers to join a global engineering team responsible for the maintenance of the Amazon Electrical Vehicle Chargers (EVC) network. EV Charging Operations Manager at Amazon: lead and oversee the maintenance and repair operations of our extensive EV charging network, aiming for world-class uptime and customer satisfaction through effective maintenance strategies and swift issue resolution. They develop and implement maintenance protocols, manage escalation procedures, and communicate operational decisions to Senior Management while driving continuous improvements in service reliability. They have extensive hands-on experience in EV charger maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, understanding both hardware and software components of various charging systems, diagnosing complex technical issues, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. You will conceive, initiate and lead projects with widespread impact on the EV chargers network, breaking down complex problems into straightforward, actionable solutions by collaborating with internal teams to understand user requirements and challenges as well as with teams or individuals from other disciplines, cultures and countries. You will escalate issues as required and communicate clearly and effectively at the appropriate level of detail with people from a wide range of technical abilities and backgrounds. You will work with internal teams including field technicians, customer support, and facilities management, as well as external partners including service providers, manufacturers, and vendors. You will establish and optimize maintenance standards, develop escalation protocols, and ensure efficient resolution of complex technical issues across the charging network. You will analyze maintenance data to identify trends, implement preventive measures, and improve operational efficiency. As a subject matter expert in EV charging systems maintenance, you will develop training programs, maintain technical documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards while managing and mentoring your team of specialists.
