A leading banking institution is seeking a Specialist in Credit Collection to manage credit activities for Portugal. This role involves supporting portfolio management, negotiating payment plans, and requires a proactive approach with strong communication skills. Candidates should have 2-3 years of debt recovery experience and a degree in Business Administration or Law. The position offers a hybrid work model based in Barcelona or Madrid.

Overview

BFF Bank spa is a banking institution with a presence in the market for approximately 40 years, listed on the Italian Stock Exchange, and continuously growing and expanding. It is the largest specialized finance operator in Italy, as well as a leader in Europe in managing and disposing of non-performing commercial credit claims against Public Administrations. The Group also leads in Italy in Securities Services and banking payment services.

We're looking for a Specialist, Credit Collection

The candidate will join a very dynamic international environment with the responsibility of credit management activities for Portugal country.

Responsibilities

• Support the CM Manager in managing the portfolio activities with relationship with debtors
• Participation in negotiations of payment plans
• Sending payment reminders and managing the feedbacks from the debtors
• Upload of invoices status in the system
• Verify and monitor debtors' accounts
• Track the volume of exposure
• Collaborate with the internal legal unit for the initiation and management of legal actions
• Request to clients the probative documentation related to the receivables purchased by the Bank
• Check and update the information in the IT tool (invoices status, negotiations stages, payments allocation, etc…)
• Manage retrocession to be paid by the clients

Requirements

• 2-3 years of experience in managing relationships with public or private counterparties for debt recovery and negotiation of agreements
• Proactive mindset with a focus on achieving KPIs (priority oriented).
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible approach to problems and strong aptitude for teamwork.
• Degree in Business Administration / Law
