  • Provide training and educate colleagues on the relevant aspects of privacy.
  • Ensure overall awareness in the organisation of regulatory developments.
  • Support creation and negotiation of data privacy agreements (DPAs).
  • Provide guidance in the event of potential data breaches.
  • Lead as a ‘Competency lead’: lead and enable the Sanoma Learning operational privacy team (currently consisting of 3 FTEs).
  • Support the team members’ professional development.
  • Maintain a productive relationship with management and the Group DPO.
  • Participate in collaboration between private and public parties in the educational sector, building and maintaining a network with relevant stakeholders.
Formal Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Law.
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience; people management experience is a significant plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws (GDPR, e-Privacy Directive, EU AI Act) and the ability to translate them into practical guidance.
  • Experience in carrying out privacy assessments (experience in AI domain is a strong plus).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; able to influence and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Passionate about balancing digital technologies (AI, user data, analytics) with safeguarding data subject rights.
  • Ability to work in an international context, appreciating cultural differences and adapting your approach accordingly.
