Contexte et environnement

TotalEnergies has strong ambitions in developing solar Utility Power Plants with public and private off-takers, mainly in Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, and the USA. The company also focuses on energy storage worldwide. Iberia is a key area to achieve this strategy, with an aim to establish a sizable UPP portfolio in Spain.

The Renewable Project Developer is responsible for developing renewable projects and managing the execution of assets in coordination with the Business Development and Operation and Asset Management departments of TotalEnergies Renewables Iberica.

Activités

• Monitoring and implementing company H3SE policies, procedures, and programs throughout all project stages.
• Elaborating H3SE procedures and templates in local languages to incorporate country-specificities based on company guidelines.
• Identifying potential hazards and recommending solutions during all project phases, including design review and pre-construction.
• Assisting Project Managers to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements.
• Reviewing HSE Plans, Procedures, Method Statements, Risk assessments, and all related documentation to ensure compliance with company and local standards.
• Implementing and maintaining OHSAS 45001 and the corporate Maestro management system.
• Conducting regular inspections and audits during pre-construction, construction, or O&M phases to ensure activities follow HSE plans and procedures.
• Monitoring environmental and social mitigation measures during construction and O&M phases.
• Supporting Project Managers in implementing improvements, issuing prohibition notices to contractors, and setting up corrective actions.
• Investigating accidents and incidents and following up on corrective actions.
• Ensuring proper HSE training for staff and organizing promotion events like World Day for Safety & Environment, live-saving checks, and stop card programs.
• Ensuring the availability and proper condition of safety equipment and reporting H3SE data.

Profil du candidat

• Over 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in a HSE management role.
• International H&S qualifications / certificates; environmental and security training are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish H&S legislation and environmental standards during construction.
• Proven precision and a zero-tolerance approach to HSE and technical excellence.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage high workloads, make decisions, and be a team player.
• Good interpersonal skills, commitment to ethics, punctuality, and adherence to policies.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken); knowledge of French or other languages is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of environmental management and security protocols.
