Formación

  • 5-10 years' experience in accounting required.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with IFRS / USGAAP and PGC - Spanish accounting standards essential.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and executing complex accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and supporting audits. The Senior Accountant collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, streamline processes, and drive strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role ensures adherence to internal controls, tax regulations, and company policies while mentoring junior staff to foster a high-performing accounting team

  • Prepare day-to-day journal entries and ensure accurate financial transactions in the GL
  • Participate to the monthly closings, process, making sure it’s agile, timely and reliable
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and analyze variances
  • Be responsible for Inter-company balances and reconciliation
  • Optimizes the accounting process automation via ERP and support financial reporting with data-science orientation
  • Prepare Tax returns and ensuring timely payments.
  • Supports yearly external audits for Recover’s legal entities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide financial insights and support.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

Work Experience Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ experience in accounting
  • Strong communication skills, high attention to detail and critical thinking, problem solving oriented, pro-active, team work oriented, responsible , self-learning, willing to learn and grow in the company. Skeptical

Other requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / accounting / administration / Finance
  • Deep knowledge of PGC - Spanish accounting standards.
  • Experience in converting Financial statements in IFRS / USGAAP
  • Experience in International Companies / different cultures
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365FO is a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing Companies is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken). Travelling might be required.

Role of the department

The Accounting Department is responsible for overseeing the financial health and compliance of the organization. Its primary functions include :

  • Financial Reporting : Preparing accurate and timely financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) to provide insights into the company’s performance for stakeholders.
  • Transaction Processing : Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Compliance and Risk Management : Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal policies while mitigating financial risks through robust internal controls.
  • Audit Support : Coordinating with internal and external auditors to facilitate reviews and maintain transparency in financial reporting.
