The impact you will have

As a Sales Representative, you will actively anticipate and exceed the needs of your customers and clients by offering them the best solutions, impacting both health and financial outcomes. By providing recommendations and education around Arjo’s portfolio of solutions, you will contribute to supporting increased quality of life for residents, patients and caregivers.

As the Sales Representative you will be responsible for:
  • Provide sales expertise in dealing with internal and external customers and stakeholders, with the ability to overcome company challenge and client scrutiny to help build the business case to achieve the best outcome for both the customer and Arjo.
  • A resilient seller driven, with the enthusiasm and hunger for success, along with the determination to consistently meet challenging targets and demands from both internal and external customers.
  • An effective business planner who identifies future opportunities for yourself and the team to support Arjo growth plans, effectively using CRM systems to plan and follow up your business leads.
  • An effective negotiator who adapts styles and approaches to enable clients to relate to you, promoting value‑added services and demonstrating cost effectiveness is not the lowest price.
  • Will embrace change and patiently listen to fully understand the client’s requirements, enabling adapting to change and proving a credible representative.
  • Will perform tasks and duties without daily supervision, building long‑term relationships that enable customer accounts to grow in line with growth strategies and delivering results that correlate to territory targets.
  • Will manage customer relationships after the sale, ensuring efficient after‑sales service from the group and using research and insight to drive account planning, decision making and sales decisions.
  • Will negotiate “Win / Win” solutions, closing the sale and designing innovative solutions within commercial constraints, understanding that the overall solution offered to the customer is more important than any individual product.
The skills you will need
  • Computer literacy; familiarity with information technology concepts, personal computers, Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and exercises discretion in all business dealings.
  • Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of medical terminology, provincial funding knowledge by sector, and third‑party payer claims preferably in the Health Care market.
  • Must be willing to travel to attend scheduled business and corporate functions as required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Strong Commercial and Financial understanding.
  • Self‑sufficient, enthusiastic, optimistic with a “Can Do” attitude and resilient.
  • Questioning and challenging, with the ability to be self‑critical to learn from missed opportunities.
  • Ambitious with the willingness to “raise the bar” to enhance their own and the wider team’s effectiveness.
  • Patient and tenacious with an eye for detail through a long sales “life‑cycle.”
  • Exceptional communicator and negotiator.
  • Innovative solution designer with a positive work ethic.
Relevant Experience and Education:
  • Post‑Secondary Education degree – BA or Diploma.
  • Although not essential, you are likely to have 5 years of experience managing sales in a B2B environment, preferably in a regulated industry or an industry where there is involvement in large tender and bid processes.
  • Background in consultative selling, ideally in a group environment, where there has been a requirement to work collaboratively across different functions and areas of expertise.
  • Background of customer relationship management.
  • Basic commercial understanding with the ability to understand and analyze key financial information.
  • Experience of CRM systems and other sources to analyze data to understand customer needs.
  • Experience in the Medical Device Industry or Healthcare Sales is a strong asset.
  • Experience in delivering solutions based on clinical outcomes or delivery of clinical services.
