A global technology services company in Madrid is seeking a skilled lead engineer to direct a small team of software development engineers. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree along with 4-6 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include managing product releases and collaborating with various stakeholders. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

• 0-2 years’ leadership experience.

What success looks like in this role

• Provides direction to a small team of software development engineers.
• Works with product owners / managers and clients to understand application and related software use cases and requirements.
• Collaborates with project managers to ensure team efforts are appropriately focused and integrated with overall project / program requirements.
• Leads team members in the planning and delivery of product / solution releases.
• Ensures delivery of secure, high quality, well tested and scalable software to meet client and business requirements.
• Assists with maintenance and prioritization of the product backlog.
• Engages with customers, end users and business partners to understand problems and issues with application and related software development and deployment.
• Assists with technical evaluation of new technologies and tools.
• Establishes and maintains test environments.
• Collaborates with staff and other technical colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve development and production issues.
• Establishes and consults on best practices and standard operating procedures for development, deployment, support, break-fix and systems management.
• Creates / maintains training / up-skilling plans for team members.
• Assists implementation organization level initiatives and tasks within the team.
• Identifies / reports / manages risks and issues associated with the technical solution.

You will be successful in this role if you have

• BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 0-2 years’ leadership experience
