  • Standardize and harmonize policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and excellence in Health & Safety.
  • Manage overall Health and Safety standards in Fulfilment Centers, aiming for continuous improvement in functionality and efficiency.
  • Manage key outcomes: compliance with H&S regulations and Amazon WHS standards, metrics, people management, and process improvements.
  • Help colleagues maintain high standards while fostering a culture of safety and inclusivity.
  • Identify, coordinate, and drive improvements in inbound safety, quality, and productivity, collaborating with Operations Management to enhance service levels.

Customer Fulfilment (CF) is the core of Amazon, handling over 1.5 million orders daily, supporting our growth into new regions and services with emerging technology.

Key job responsibilities

Manage aspects such as people management, metrics, productivity targets, and process improvements. Your duties include:

  • Implement and review country WHS policies based on Amazon’s global safety policies and local legal requirements.
  • Support the ES WHS team with compliance actions, project implementation, and standardization.
  • Provide guidance on Health & Safety matters to stakeholders, including legal and procedural advice.
  • Ensure timely reporting regimes aligned with SPP management and KPIs.
  • Review and audit safety management arrangements, supporting site audits.
  • Manage legal processes related to WHS in cooperation with Legal, HR, and other departments.
  • Collaborate on safety projects across Spanish Operations sites.
  • Support business change and standardization through effective change management.
  • Drive behavioral culture change programs and WHS integration at all levels.
  • Manage WHS contracts with SPA, Mutua, and other entities.

This role involves managing safety standards, improving functionality, leading your team, and implementing continuous process improvements, all while fostering a safety-centric culture.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent as per EQF.
  • Degree and qualification in Técnico Superior en Prevención de Riesgos Laborales, compliant with Spanish regulations.
  • Relevant experience in Servicio de Prevencion Propio and local health and safety legislation.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and local language.
Preferred skills and experience
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Qualifications or experience in sustainability.
  • Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including leadership.
  • Chartered membership of a relevant HR or safety industry body (e.g., IOSH).
