HR Manager – Europe Region (German-speaking)

Position Summary :

Teceze is seeking a skilled German-speaking HR Manager , based in Poland , to lead and manage HR operations across the Europe region , with a strong focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. This role is responsible for setting up regional HR frameworks, ensuring country-level compliance, and supporting HR operations across multiple European countries from a centralized base in Poland. Fluency in German and English is essential to manage employee relations, compliance, and vendor communications in German-speaking countries.

Key Responsibilities :

HR Policy & Framework Development

  • Design and implement HR policies and operating procedures for European countries, with localization for German-speaking regions (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
  • Standardize HR processes including onboarding, performance reviews, exits, and disciplinary actions.

Compliance & Legal

  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, GDPR, and regional employment regulations in Germany and other EU countries.
  • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory compliance, external HR audits, and works council engagement (Betriebsrat) where applicable.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Manage recruitment activities and vendor coordination across Europe, especially in German-speaking countries.
  • Oversee smooth onboarding and induction of new hires across diverse regulatory environments.
  • Payroll & Benefits Coordination

  • Work with local payroll vendors to ensure timely, accurate, and legally compliant payroll processing.
  • Design and manage country-specific benefits and compensation structures, particularly for DACH markets.
  • Employee Relations & Performance

  • Handle employee grievances, disputes, and engagement initiatives with a cultural understanding of Germany and neighboring countries.
  • Deploy region-wide performance management systems and development plans.
  • HR Operations & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee documentation, with GDPR compliance.
  • Deliver regular HR reports and regional dashboards to global leadership.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a strategic HR partner to local leadership, business heads, and service delivery teams in Europe.
  • Coordinate with global HR, legal, finance, and compliance teams for seamless HR operations.
  • Key Requirements :

  • Experience : 7–10 years in HR, with at least 3+ years managing international HR operations in Europe.
  • Location : Based in Poland, with hybrid / remote flexibility.
  • Languages : Fluent in German and English (both verbal and written); additional European languages a plus.
  • Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Skills & Knowledge :
  • Strong understanding of German labor law, works councils, and HR compliance
  • Experience supporting HR operations across multiple European countries
