Aug 15, 2025 - WEX Brazil Technology Services is hiring a remote Senior Java/Golang Engineer. Location: Brazil.

• A mentor capable of guiding the technical development of less experienced developers at the functional, component, architectural levels
• A professional who can advocate strongly for positions and still be 100% behind team decisions even if they don’t go your way
• Comfortable balancing the need to move fast with the realities of working in a highly regulated space like payments
• Able to pick up new technology and switch between tech stacks with minimal fuss
• Comfortable working on front-end web code, back end services, data stores, and infrastructure systems
• A solid engineer with the desire and ability to learn how to design scalable, maintainable, and resilient modern software architectures
• Experience writing modern software deployed in the cloud
• Comfortable with encryption schemes, modern APIs, and front-end frameworks
• Experience working on agile teams to deliver software iteratively

• Significant and demonstrable development experience
• Experience with Golang or Java, MongoDB, AWS, and Terraform
• Experience developing internal/external web services
• Experience writing well-formed unit, component, and integration tests, with an understanding of the test pyramid
• Understanding of at least one modern web framework
• Knowledge of NoSQL and SQL datastores
• Knowledge of BDD; critical thinking skills demonstrated through past accomplishments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

It would be a plus if you have already had the opportunity to work on projects or open-source contributions in your own time, or have experience with systems engineering and automation.
