Responsibilities

• Support and advise management and specialist departments on all legal issues, particularly in contract law, commercial law and data protection law.
• Draft, review and negotiate national and international contracts, including supply, distribution, service and license agreements.
• Identify and assess legal risks and develop and implement strategies to minimise risks.
• Assist in handling and resolving legal disputes, including coordinating outside counsel and representing the company in legal proceedings.
• Advise and support data protection compliance, in particular with GDPR and other data protection regulations.
• Conduct internal training on legal topics to promote awareness of legal risks and best practices within the company.
• Coordinate and cooperate with international subsidiaries and sister companies to ensure a uniform legal strategy.

Qualifications

• Completed university degree in law (state examination) and ideally a licence as a fully qualified lawyer; additional qualifications in international business law are an advantage.
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in an international company or a renowned law firm.
• Experience of working with multinational teams and advising senior executives.
• Initial years of general legal experience plus relevant expertise in supporting GTM functions.
• Sound knowledge of German and international commercial law, including contract law, data protection law and compliance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to explain complex legal issues in an understandable way and develop pragmatic solutions.
• Fluency in written and spoken German and English is mandatory; other language skills are an advantage.
