This role involves identifying grants, developing a grant calendar, and organizing key materials to support youth music programs. Volunteer Position: Grant Research & Coordination
Organization: Vaudreuil‑Soulanges Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSJVS)
Location: Remote (Vaudreuil‑Soulanges, QC)
Commitment: Flexible, approx. 3–5 hours per week for 6–8 weeks (see below)
Compensation: Volunteer (unpaid)
The Vaudreuil‑Soulanges Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSJVS) nurtures the next generation of musicians by teaching orchestral and chamber music, from the Baroque period to contemporary Quebec composers. Our mission is to help young musicians develop their musical and ensemble skills while encouraging them to share their passion with the Vaudreuil‑Soulanges community.
We are seeking a Volunteer Grant Research & Coordinator to help lay the foundation of our long‑term fundraising strategy. This pivotal administrative role focuses on identifying potential funders and creating the operational framework for future fundraising initiatives through grants. Your work will directly support our ability to sustain and grow youth music programs in the community.
Initial Setup Phase: 4–8 weeks (3–5 hours/week).
Ongoing Maintenance: 2–4 hours/month to update and monitor the grant calendar.
