We are currently looking for aMaintenance Technician, Level 1to join our team

What you can expect in this role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings.

More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:

• Take ownership of health, safety and wellness matters on site.
• Ensure the safety of the site and remove snow, ice, water, leaves, dust etc... as needed.
• Keep the premises clean and maintain the general site.
• Conduct daily site inspections and attend to the required maintenance.
• Reporting on the condition of buildings and making recommendations.
• General maintenance of the premises on a daily basis (snow removal from entrances, sweeping, organisation of storage, etc.).
• Performing general maintenance such as carpentry, minor or increasingly complex repairs.
• Carrying out various errands and deliveries (purchase of materials, refilling of propane, internal delivery...).
• Carry out the necessary work to prepare the sites for the different seasons (opening of closed air inlets, installation of protective canvas, etc.).
• Maintain and inspect equipment on a regular basis (snowblower, heating cables, weed eater, etc.).
• Implement the procedures and work methods established by the company.
• Be available at all times for emergencies (travel in case of emergency).
• Act as a culture ambassador by living Bitfarms’ values.
• All other related tasks.

Here's the profile we're looking for:

• High school diploma required. DEP/AEC (an asset).
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Bilingual in French and English preferred.
• Forklift and aerial platform training certificates (an asset).
• Knowledge of work-related software and/or applications (Certify, ADP, Outlook, etc.).
• Mastery of workplace safety standards in their environment.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm
• Job type: Full-time, permanent.
