A government body in Canada is seeking an Evaluation and Performance Specialist to enhance the sustainability of the healthcare system. The Department of Executive and Indigenous Affairs works to provide overall management and direction to the Executive branch of the Government of the Northwest Territories. The Department is responsible for coordinating and supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of initiatives and actions in support of cross-government goals. The Department is responsible for ensuring mutually respectful intergovernmental relations between the territorial government and Aboriginal, provincial, territorial and national and international governments are maintained; along with negotiating and implementing land, resources and self-government agreements that address Aboriginal rights in the Northwest Territories.
EIA is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Evaluation and Performance Specialist to join the Healthcare System Sustainability (HCSS) Unit. The HCSS Unit consists of a team of professionals that have set out to design, implement, and evaluate the financial process improvement projects, business reviews, fiscal policy initiatives, and other special projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of program and service delivery within the health and social services programs and services.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development, review and implementation of evaluation and performance measurement programming relating to the sustainability of the NWT healthcare system. The Specialist will be responsible for performing in-depth external research and analysis, including jurisdictional scans and literature reviews, to support health and social services sustainability initiatives. This includes reviewing core healthcare programs and services offered in other jurisdictions, identifying best practices, and analyzing healthcare trends. The insights gathered will be instrumental in developing and assessing scenarios to eliminate redundancies and unsustainable practices, ultimately fostering long-term sustainability in the health and social services system.
