As a member of one of Canada’s fastest growing MGA’s, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator will help us build and implement a comprehensive, and measurable marketing strategy. You are organized, resourceful, take initiative and feel comfortable asking questions to find out what your client (internal or external) needs. It is important that this person strives to become knowledgeable in the many intricacies of the insurance business. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills and an aptitude for fostering a collaborative environment.

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will contribute to a wide range of projects as we continually improve our sales offerings, specialty programs, and client experience. This individual will be up to date on current marketing and communications techniques, and apply their understanding of layout, typography, and visual presentation to create a preference for the multi-line experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Execution of marketing strategies that support business objectives to achieve target goals of increasing brand visibility and driving customer engagement,
• Digital marketing, content creation, website, social media marketing, email marketing, advertising campaigns & events.
• Supporting the team in building brand collateral such as sell sheets, brochures, presentations, etc
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business goals and product / service offerings.
• Provide creative direction on content creation such as photography, video and copy writing.
• Staying current with industry trends, best practices & emerging technologies to continually improve marketing strategies & tactics.
• Content Creation. You will produce and revise marketing materials across various formats, such as article, newsletters & presentation decks. Drawing from your creativity, you will ensure that all marketing content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality and tone of voice and optimized for different channels, including online social media, email and print.
• Take ownership of the Marketing Resources. You will maintain, update & share, ensuring all resources are current, accessible and effectively organized for easy use by the team. You will also ensure that the most recent images, branding & materials are used for internal and external communications.
• You will support the organization in leading the training of the use of the marketing resources.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or the Humanities with an appropriate portfolio to demonstrate skill and design style
• Proven track record with at least 2 years in a Marketing and / or Communications role
• Experience in the Insurance / Financial Services sector an asset
• Working knowledge of WordPress and website content management (basic updates)
• Proficiency in in digital marketing tools & platforms such as Google Analytics, social media management tools and marketing automation systems.
• Graphic design skills, will proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator and Canva (portfolio required)
• A master in the MS office suite of products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) that also produces compelling and visually appealing presentations and proposals.
• Basic copywriting experience an asset (ads, short form)
• Bilingual (English and French) is an asset.

COMPENSATION : :

Based on the qualifications of applicant pay grade may vary from $65,000 – $85,000
