Job Title: Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk (1-Year Maternity Leave Contract)

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk to join our team on a 1-year maternity leave contract. This full-time role requires a 44-hour work week and is ideal for someone with strong accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a busy dealership environment.

1. Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
3. Prepare and process payments, invoices, and deposits.
4. Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
5. Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
6. Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve billing issues.
7. Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks as needed.

• Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (automotive industry experience is an asset).
• Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with dealership management systems (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds or CDK) is an advantage.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

This is a 1-year contract position to cover a maternity leave, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible.
