A leading engineering consulting firm in York Region seeks a skilled Controller to manage financial and project accounting. Reporting to the CFO, this role involves budgeting, financial reporting, and supervising the accounting team. Candidates should hold a post-secondary degree in Accounting and possess a CPA designation with at least 10 years of experience, including 5 in a managerial role. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will play a dual role, focusing on both Financial and Project Accounting within the Accounting Department. This role involves budgeting, financial reporting, and project cost monitoring, as well as overseeing invoicing, as well as Accounts Receivable and Payables. This role will entail supervising and mentoring of accounting staff. The Controller will collaborate closely with Project Managers, the CFO, and other stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations and compliance.
